Research Administration Discussion Group (RADG)
“The Positive Risk Assessment: Evaluating Institutions and Sponsored Projects to Facilitate Constructive Monitoring”
Risk assessments can help institutions and teams effectively evaluate where the risks may lie to your institution’s core missions and business operations. While an effective risk assessment often highlights the potential issues, it may not provide the framework for an appropriate response or management plan. The development of such plans is often variable and difficult to structure and communicate. This RADG will focus on risk assessment fundamentals and tips developing risk management strategies at the institutional, research administrator and local business unit levels. In addition, this RADG will include strategies to use the insights gained from your risk assessment to structure effective management techniques and communicate in a manner that is constructive, positive and effective.
